House Before Siding

As most of you know we are building a new house. This has of course been a tremendous amount of work, and the kids have really cooperated well along the way, as well as having helped us a lot.
Justin of couse has been the biggest physical helper. He has done everything from shoveling dirt, to nailing nails, to sweeping, vacuuming up sheetrock dust, and most importantly watching his sisters and keeping them out of trouble so Mom can help Dad. We are very grateful for him and the great big brother and oldest child that he is.

Ashley has helped in her own way. She has helped bring stuff to us at times when we have needed things, she has also helped sweep, wash walls, and of course help play with her twin sisters. She has also been the one to really study eat step of the way. She asks millions of questions and really watches and contemplates everything that is being done.
Emily and Courtney have both helped bring us nails for the nail gun when we needed them, they've helped pick up stray nails, and most importantly they have managed to keep themselves out of too much trouble during this process (that is when they have been the greatest help of all!!!!). We have to give a special thanks to all of the bugs of Calhoun County, without their help the twins would have been terribly bored! A special, special thanks to the poor helpless caterpillars. If scientists are wondering why there is a serious decrease in the population of moths and butterflies, I am afraid the answer lies in the inquisitive hands of my twins. (See pictures of caterpillars above.)
